Legit Work From Home

Is it possible to earn a good living by selling products for an Internet company, or is the idea of a legit work from home business just a dream?

It would be easy to write-off all the Internet marketers as scams of one kind or another. After all, who has not lost faith in legit work from home programs after getting flooded with emails offering all manner of potions, pills, miracle cures and additives for the food, cars or hair?

Then there are the companies that advertise on long-established websites. These claim to need good people to help get the word out about their legit work from home offers, or to sell their products to friends and family, or to sell via email their wonder products. Changing lives and earning money is a constant temptation out in cyberland. When it comes to Internet-based businesses, there are varying degrees of above-board work from home companies, and ones that are really nothing but scams.

The semi-legit work from home companies make money through their distributors rather than from their products. They make money when you make money, and you make more money when you can sign up others to join the queue of distributors. The carrot they hold out it is the assurance that, if you sell enough product at a rate of a 2% profit, and sign up enough other people, eventually you won’t have to work at all; your share of the product sales from people who joined after you will cover all your expenses, you may be told.

In truth, a legit work from home business will not have the multiple catches that exist in the fine print of these pyramid-type operators. The promised-for bonuses and increased profit share never materialize for myriad reasons and loopholes. If this happens month after month, it’s time to look elsewhere.

A legit work from home company also will not demand that you put up all the risk money up-front, or create sales expectations that are not realistic. You may be asked to pay to attend an initial learning session, or to buy products to demonstrate at home parties. If you need to make more then three or four sales a month just to break even, think long and hard before sending any money.

Beware of copycats masquerading as legit work from home businesses. Warning signs include what appear to by typos or misprints of a familiar name brand that has a good reputation. Don’t assume that it is a one-time error. Some schemers are adept at temporarily parading as a reputable business.
